Sheila: Easter Eats
Yesterday I went to Lian's house for Easter. Among the guests were: our parents, Lian's in laws Judy and Brookes, Liz, brother Brendan and wife Laura and four nephews-- Brookes, Sam, Colin and Daniel. As you know, Lian is a great cook. Here she is carving the ham! I also wanted to capture the incredible roasted potatoes and carrots, and the gorgeous asparagus vinaigrette. I believe most of her recipes were from "Cooking Light" but for me, it is called, "Cooking Delicious!" Thanks Lian for making such an amazing dinner. I wish there was something more I could have done besides the dishes!

Great picture of Lian! My first thought is "yes, those sisters ARE petite!"
What was the clue? The cupboard doors open over the refrigerator. I come from a tall family, (at 5/8 I'm the second shortes), so leaving doors open resulted in someone wacking their head on the door.
Seriously, Lian, you look fantastic! And the ham doesn't look bad, either. :)

Lian,
The potatoes look yummy. I'll have to go back to my stack of Cooking Light to find the receipe. Or can you put on this site, the month it was in?

Thank you so much for the Easter photos of the food. I went to visit family in NYC. I expected the standard dinner. Yes, fine china, and each were given a small Easter basket full of goodies,a lovely tablescape etc. HOWEVER, when the meal came out it was pasta and meatballs, grilled shrimp and some grilled tenderloins and a iceberg lettuce salad. Dessert was a grocery store Easter Egg Cake. That is NOT and Easter dinner.
I was drooling over you lavish meal. I want to come to you house next year. Obviously my family is confused or frozen in NYC to where they forgot what we normally ate for that meal.

Lian, you are such a youngest sister! The one who can do everything, and do it well. Your meal looks fabulous! I wish I were your sister. I am just now getting to this because I wasn't around during the holiday.

Thanks for all the great compliments! And, I hate to rub it in to the frozen New Yorkers, but it was a record high 93 degrees in Pasadena. No wonder I look a little hot standing over that ham!!I took a swim after dinner.
See the Chaos Chronicles post for the link to the recipe. It's the March issue of Cooking Light.
